Documents Required for Mutual Divorce
In order to file a Mutual Consent Divorce in the Family Court, both husband and wife must submit valid identification and proof of marriage. The following documents are commonly required:
ID & Address Proof (for both Husband and Wife)
Any valid Government-issued ID is accepted. Examples include:
- Aadhaar Card
- Driving License
- Passport
- Voter ID
- Ration Card
Proof of Marriage

Depending on how the marriage was solemnized, you may provide one of the following:

Marriage Invitation Card (if marriage took place at a banquet hall, community place, etc.)

Marriage Photographs (showing husband and wife together at the ceremony)

Marriage Certificate:

If solemnized in a religious place → Certificate issued by that religious institution.

If solemnized in a Marriage Office / Registrar Office → Certificate issued by the Govt. authority.

- Recent 2 passport-size photographs of both husband and wife.
